Welcome to Paradigm Shift Academy
We’re helping young people and high performers - athletes, singers etc - to achieve their highest potential.

We do this through a specialist, tailored coaching and mentoring programme.

As well as private one-to-one and group coaching, we run a proven coaching & mentoring programme in schools to help 'at-risk' kids improve their behaviour, academic performance and ultimately, their futures.
Ricardo really helped me change my way of thinking growing up. He brought the best out of me, and I am grateful to him for that. I've become more confident.

Meet the Founder
Ricardo Erasmus has helped hundreds of young people to grow into amazing adults.
He believes we all have a bit of greatness within us. Sometimes we need a little bit of help to access it. To shift paradigms, overcome barriers and change the direction of our story.

Ricardo, originally from Cape Town in South Africa, was a high performing football player, on the fast track to becoming a professional until disaster struck. A nasty injury that would end his career. With his whole life trajectory shattered, Ricardo experienced depression and became suicidal. His dream was over.

Ricardo knew that he was at a perilous crossroad and had to choose between death or life. So he dug deep, and found hope of a future by tapping into another passion: Encouraging and inspiring young people to achieve their own dreams.

So he started working with youth, helping them to authentically unleash their potential. He joined Animas Coaching Centre to equip himself as a transformational Life coach. Fifteen years ago, Ricardo moved to Cardiff some 15 years ago, and has coached many hundreds of young people to reach heights that surpassed their wildest dreams including Sophie Jenkins (nee Evans) who stars in the West End and Welsh Rugby international, Christ Tshiunza
Ricardo believes that “in the tough times you need to hold onto that dream, that goal and vision” because “the outcome will be you will win” if you have a positive outlook. That's why he set up Paradigm Shift.
